A day at the park

She liked the space ship much better.

She was very frightened by the swing!!!

My new toy

She loves her new toy. She jumps off the floor and screams with laughter.

This is her new toy...it is a large bouncy seat that she can jump up from the floor and move around or something like that.

Meeting the Guy's family

Guy's parents had his family over Sunday so they could meet Abby. There was lots of food which was all very good. We had such a good time catching up with everyone. This is his Aunt Susie.

Meeting Great Grandma

Abby met Guy's Grandma for the first time this past weekend. Abby is very lucky...she has five great grandparents.

Our Car Ride to see Grandma and Grandpa

This is way to much fun. I don't understand why he won't let me drive for real.

Daddy needed a little help driving. We are stopped at a gas station for those of you who thought we might have lost our minds.

I used to suck my fingers just like this!!

Gosh this teething ring tastes really good.

Her onsie says.. Nobody puts BABY in the corner.

The next step

I was thinking last night about how much Guy and I have gone through in the first year of our marriage and it was a little crazy. We got married, found out we were pregnant, bought a house, moved to Illinois, Guy got a new job, got a rescue dog, got two rescue cats, had Abby, and now we are selling a house and moving back to DC. We went through about every life change you can go through in a year...not to mention the first year of our marriage. I am so lucky to have met Guy and married him. I love my husband so so very much! He has become my rock and I could not get through each day without him. Our family is very lucky to have him as a Dad, husband, and provider. I don't think I tell him enough how much he is appreciated, but he really is. We love you very much Guy!!! I know the next step in our life ( moving back to DC) will be a little challenging but so much fun.

THIS WEEKEND

please go to sleep!!!!

She is looking at Guy saying please don't take this picture we are both a little tired from cleaning up and not looking our best.

I thought she was all ready for bed, but I thought wrong. She just had to play with her rattle one last time before she went to sleep. What a determined little thing she has become.
How many toy's can I play with at one time. She always gets her teething ring stuck on her arm.

WE ARE MOVING!!!!!!

We found out last week that we will be moving back to D.C. They really need a Urologist at Andrew's AFB, so they are sending us. We are so excited to move back to the city. We are also sad to leave our new friends and neighborhood. Abby is most excited to spend lots of time with her godmother aka... Aunt Jodie. I have been cleaning the house top to bottom in hopes to get the house on the market this week. We are crossing our fingers we don't have a problem. We think we will be moving around the end of september. We should be there for the next three years. I am very excited for Abby to be in a culturaly diverse place as she grows up. There is going to be so much for her to do and to learn over the next three years. This is a really great thing for Guy and his carrer. Please keep your fingers crossed that our house sells quickly.

Abby's 4 month's

Abby had her 4 month check up last Thursday. I really can't believe she is already 4 months. She weighed 15.5 pounds and height was 25.5. She is still hanging out in the 95%, and we are so proud of our big baby. She had to get three shots at the end of her appt. She was a little fussy through the day, but who wouldn't be. She had a huge red knot where her shots were given, and she had a temp of 101.7 that night. She just had a look like she did not feel good. She continued to have a temp throughout Friday, and then she was all better by Saturday. Abby is such a great baby. She is mostly sleeping through the night with a couple of night time feedings. She has started sleeping on her stomach which makes me a little nervous, but the doctor said it was ok. She has really started to enjoy playing with her toys which is really fun to watch. We are really having a good time with her.

I Slept through the night

Abby slept through the night Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night!!!! She went to bed at 730 and woke up at 630. The first morning i woke up and ran down the hall to check on her hoping she was ok. I found her with her hanging out in her crib sucking her thumb. I looked in her crib and she just gave me a big smile with her thumb still in her mouth. She is just so cute I could eat her up.

I am 3 months old

Daddy and Abby

FINALLY!!! I got a breast pump this weekend so I could have a little freedom and daddy could bond more with Abby. Well i must say it is very interesting...I pretty much feel like a cow being milked. She will not take a bottle with formula, but finally took a bottle yesterday with breastmilk. I almost got teary watching them look at each other. She also looks like she has a mowhawk in this picture.

Abby has started sucking her thumb. It is the sweetest thing i have ever seen. She gets a little frustrated because she hasn't really figured it out yet. She started teething!!!! She has this little eruption cyst toward the back in between her eye tooth and molar. She was sticking her thumb in her mouth to put pressure back there and i guess found that is was easier to suck her thumb than her pacifier. She has been rather fussy as the tooth comes in. There is not much i can do because her mouth is to small and the tooth is in a weird place so the teething ring wont fit in her mouth. I have given her some tylenol to help with the pain, but mostly it has been up to her to help relieve the pressure with the thumb. I just cant believe she is growing up so fast.

taking a little nap.

Hanging out with daddy.

I went to the doctor today only to find out i have strep throat. I thought you couldn't get step throat if you don't have tonsills.....I guess I was wrong. I was like how am i supposed to take care of her when i feel so horrible. I had to get up twice last night to feed Abby and I couldn't swallow at all not even my own spit. I must say I was pretty miserable, but as soon as i saw my precious baby i forgot all about feeling sick. I went in to get Abby about 7 leaned over her crib and she gave me the biggest smile. She has been so sweet all morning even at the doctor there havn't been any tears. I am just so lucky to have Guy and Abby in my life! Every time I look at her she gives me this big smile and everything else goes away.
