We had a great christmas! My Mom and brother got here on Saturday and left Wednesday. We had our neighbors and our waitress from our favorite place to eat over for dinner on christmas eve. we had a low key christmas brunch. I had the best time having my family here. I miss them very much when they leave. Abby had the best time opening her gifts and playing with all her stuff. I think she was a little overwhelmed by everything.
On christmas day Abby got the stomach virus..then I got it wednesday..then guy got it friday. We were all under the weather until late sunday afternoon. I HATE THE STOMACH VIRUS!!!!!
Sunday morning Abby punched me on my bare eye and I got a corneal abrasion.. LOTS OF FUN. I felt like I had ten eyelashes in my eye and i couldn't get them out. I could not open my eye until late last night. I am putting antibiotics in my eye and taking pain medication. I hate pain medication! I didn't take anything after I had Abby....so let me tell you this really really hurts. The opthomologist said it should get alot better in next day or so. By the way Abby did not mean to hit me and was very upset. she kept saying moma ok, i sorry, give hug. It was very cute and made me feel so much better.
I hope everyone has a great new years!!

The tree
Jackson
We had a great trip to jackson. Guy was so so busy with all the interviews. We went to tupelo on Monday and got back tuesday. My mom got the stomach virus so we had to take abby with us. She was so good the entire time. I have a friend who just moved back to tupelo and she came and stayed with abby in the hotel monday night so we could go out to eat with the other doctors and their wives. We had to rush back tuesday and guy had drinks with a guy from baptist at shimmels. On wednesday he met all the guys from baptist. He also talked with the chairman of urology at umc. thursday he went to oxford to meet the urologist there. Needless to say he was very busy and got a ton of info about a job. He just found out this past wednesday that he was accepted by the airforce to do the sponsored fellowship if he so desires. I can't imagine having that kind os stress. I can't believe he doesn't have an ulcer. I think all of this is weighing very heavy on him. Anyway that is the story of the job front. Please keep guy in your prayers he has a lot on his plate.

Thanksgiving and more
We had a great time over Thanksgiving. Guys parents came into town on Wednesday and our friends Brian, Courtney and their daughter Gianna came over for Dinner. Courtney came over Wednesday morning to help me cook which was great!!
We decorated the house for christmas on Friday. I got plenty of stuff this year since we will be here. Abby loves the light outside. I just love the feeling of christmas. It really is magical. My Mom and brother will be coming this year.
We will be going to Jackson on Saturday so Guy can go on some job interviews. I am really excited and I know Guy is really nervous. Cross your fingers everything goes well. I would really like to move closer home if the job is right. My Mom will be keeping Abby Monday night and Tuesday. This is the first time she will be left with anyone over night. She has some bad seperation anxiety so I am a little nervous. I keep telling myself she wont cry the entire time.
Anyway I can't wait to see everyone in Jackson. I really feel like some great opportunities are going to come from this trip.

Update
I promise to do a better job on posting pictures!!
When we got back from jackson we started thinking about Guy's fellowship and other job opportunities. I will make this short-We are going to come to jackson the first week in December and he is going to interview with a group in tupelo, one in oxford, and talk with a guy at a private practice in jackson. He is also still interested in the job at the V.A. There are plenty of hard choices to make. I really like the idea of tupelo. This practice seems very nice and they seem really interested in Guy. I know it is about three hours from jackson, but i figure it is alot closer than where i am know. I can get in the car any time i want and come home. he still has to decide whether or not to take the fellowship. I think these interviews will help him make up his mind what is best for him and for our family. This is a big weight on our shoulders!!! I am just sitting back and trying to be patient and trust that whatever path we are supposed to go down that is what will happen.
On a second note...I am really enjoying church! I met a lady who used to be involved in the mothers program(which they dont have anymore). She sent out an email to all the moms at church about my situation. I got plenty of emails and some phone calls. Everybody had gone through what i am going through. I got plenty of suggestions and playgroup ideas. I have abby on plenty of waiting lists and we will see what happens. I am going to dinner with a group of moms at church. I am hoping i can make some new friends.

Whats New
I don't have any new pictures to put on the blog, but plenty of news.
Abby is doing great! She is 19 months and growing like a weed. She loves to be outside and is very social. She has just started saying OH MY GOSH, and it is so funny. We are down to one nap a day for about an hour and a half. I guess she just has better things to do than sleep. We try to walk to the park after her nap to see the turtles and fish and play on the playground. She is very determined and gets very upset when things do not go her way. She loves to give hugs and kisses all day. She is very into reading! She will read books all day with or without me. I will go into her room and she is on the floor reading a book by herself. We just love her so much and she is so much fun!
I don't have much news. I am going to start going to this mothers program at the church we have started going to during the week. I am hoping to make some neew friends for both abby and myself. I have been so everwhelmed by cleaning, running errands, taking care of abby two cats and a dog. My sweet husband laid down the law last week and hired a cleaing lady to come twice a month to do heavy cleaning for me. I have come to realize all my energy goes into everyone but me and I am so tired and frustrated at the end of the day. I need some time for myself in order to help everyone else out. It is just hard because I feel so guilty as a stay at home mom not doing everything by myself. I am hoping to find what I am looking for out of the church we have started going to. It has been hard moving back here. Everyone here works so it is hard to make friends. I love Abby to death, but when you spend all day with a 19 month old and you don't have anyone your age to talk to it can be very lonely. I am crossing my fingers this paygroup and church will give me some opportunities to make new friends and get out there and do some new things.
Guy is thinking about doind an airforce sponsored fellowship when we get finished here. We were supposed to get out and moved back to jackson in 2009. Guy went on an interview at vanderbilt this past tuesday and had such a great time. He wants to interview at a few more places before he makes up his mind. We will know by the end of the year what and where he is going to go. IF he does the fellowship he will do two years of training and then he will do two years in san antonio, tx paying the airforce back for the funding. He is so excited about this opportunity, so I can't help but be excited for him. Life is all about timing and the opportunities you are given and what you choose to do with them. We were set on Guy taking a job and moving back to jackson and that was that. As soo as we made that decision guy got this info about the fellowship. I was a little upset at first, but came to realize our life maybe meant to go in a different direction for now. I will keep updating on any new news.
Last bit of news Abby and I will be in jackson oct 6th for a week. I am really excited to see everybody!

The Beach
We went to the beach last week with Brian, Courtney, and Gianna. We went to the outerbanks in North Carolina. We had a blast, but were very tired when we got home. Abby wanted to get up every morning at 530! We got to see the sunrise each morning which was very cool. Abby would look outside and say ooo wow. Abby would only stay at the beach for about an hour at a time and then she was ready for the pool. We all had a great time!
