Lunch and Eastern MArket with Aunt Jodie

Sunday Aunt Jodie met us for lunch at La Loma. For those of you who don't know this is my very favorite place to eat in DC. This is also the place Guy asked me to marry him. My other favorite thing in DC is Eastern Market. It is an open air farmers market and across the street there are lots of vendors with antique furniture, clothes, purses etc. We picked out our pumpkin at the farmers market and called it a day. We love Aunt Jodie!!!!!

Her new favorite thing is to stand up at the table for as long as she can stand it.

I love love love to crawl all over my new house. I am really getting fast my mom can barely catch me!

We finally got to our new house in Alexandria! Mommy put a little too much soap in the tub and we couldn't even find the water. I love my big girl baths though.

We stopped in Columbus to visit Grandma and Grandpa Shoaf on the way to Washington. Grandma got me this cute cheerleader outfit and a pompom to cheer for Ohio State. Grandma and Grandpa (and Poppy) are HUGE Ohio State football fans like me!

I am saving all my dirty diapers to send to Michigan for the big game!!

Barrie's brother gave Abby this Ole Miss outfit for Christmas last year. She roots very hard for Ole Miss with her momma!

These are some pictures in Illinois. Abby and mommy loved going to the park with Katie and Anne. Katie like riding the alligator with Abby. Abby also got to pet a Budweiser Clydsdale horse that came to the Officer's club for a visit. She was very excited to touch the horse!

Abby also really likes grabbing and petting Hunter-he is very patient with her and here she is grabbing his head. He likes giving her kisses on the face, they are very cute together!

A long over due update

We are finally here!!!! We got here last week and the movers brought our stuff on wednesday. We love our new townhouse! The area is great. There is a really big park with a pond just down the street. we have met some of our neighbors on our street and they are very nice. I feel like we are going to be unpacking forever. The movers broke almost every peice of our wood furniture and some of our glass table tops. We can't use the furniture that is broken, so clothes seem to be everywhere. We are just so happy to be in our home we will deal with the rest later.

Abby is so big!! She is 7 months old weighing in at 20lbs. She is in everything and crawling all over the place. She got both her bottom two teeth at the same time, and she looks so silly.We are going to have to baby proof the house asap. She is such a happy baby. She has been up a lot at night over the past week. We think it is from the moving around. I had to let her cry for an hour last night at about midnight. It was not a fun hour. Of course Guy slept through the event. She slept the rest of the night though. She just needs to get used to her crib and new room. I will have a bunch of pictures in the next couple of days.

A little update.... We moved out of our house this past Friday, and moved into the temporary lodging facility on base. THe small house is not as bad as I remember from last year. We are all doing well. Abby had her six month appt this past week. She was 19lbs and 26 inches long. She has been eating like a horse. She loves all the baby food we give her. She is not sleeping well at night, but we think she is getting a tooth.
