Abby has been eating baked beans like crazy. She was done eating and rubbed her hands through her hair. Her hair was so gross and stuck together with food.

Happy early Birthday!!!

I can't believe Abby is going to be a year on Tuesday. I don't know where this past year went. Everyone tells you it goes by so fast, and it really does. I look at her now and she is this sweet little girl. She loves to read books and play by herself with all of her toys. She loves her animals..she is always trying to catch the cats and the dog and give them hugs. She waves at anyone who looks at her and usually has a smile on her face. I have loved being a Mom over the last year!! She brings so much joy to my life.

Abby gets so excited to play with fruit. I let her play with it after we got back from the grocery, and she was so cute. She was trying so hard to hold it up over her head, but she kept dropping it.

Our great friends courtney brian and gianna came over last night to hang out for a little while. Gianna and abby loved watching the jack in the box. Abby was not happy with the flash on the camera. She kept making this horrible face every time we tried to take a picture. They had a great time together.

Snow

We had our first snow about two weeks ago. We only got about an inch. Abby thought the snow was pretty cool.

Update

Abby is much better. She still has a little cough and plenty of green drainage from her nose. She lost between four and five pounds in the month of jan. She is gaining back the weight everyday. her favorite food these days are baked beans. She just learned to say Hi and it is so cute. She can say da da, dog, and hi. She can also bark and meow. She hasn;t started walking yet, but that is just fine by me.

ABBY IS SICK AGAIN!!

I promise I will post pictures very soon. It snowed on Sunday so I have some cute pics.

Abby is sick again! She has had some high fevers, lots of drool, coughing, and runny nose. I called to appt line to get in to see a doc but they didn't have any appts. I had to call Guy to get him to go down and get her an appt. While I was on the phone with the appt line I tried to schedule her one year well baby visit...They don't have any appts. I said what do you mean you don't have any appts...like ever or just that week. The lady on the phone said they just don't have anything for her. I hang up the phone and I am thinking so this is ridiculous. I hate the air force hospital. We are changing to an outside peds clinic after this experience. We went to the pediatrition yesterday to have her checked. To top it all off a third year med student examined her first, and he had the nerve to belittle me while my child is screaming. I was not happy but I said nothing. Abby's fevers were a real big concern. her temp at the pediatrition was 102.3 after she had been given motirn since 930 the night before. I just couldn't keep her temp down. They could not come up with a reason other than it was a virus. I have been giving her twice the dose of motrin every six hours and twice the dose of tylenol three hours after the motrin. I had to put her in the bath with luke warm water for 15min when we got home. That was the worst thing I have ever seen. I have never felt like such a mean mommy. She seems to feel better this morning and her temp is 100.4. They said they want her temp to stay around 100. I am crossing my fingers as the day goes on her temp will continue to come down.

THE ROTO VIRUS

I really hope none of your children ever ever ever get the roto virus. Abby got it on Monday and then Guy and I got it on Tuesday night. I have had food poisoning before and it is just about the same as that. Abby only got a mild case and she never threw up. She has been very clingy but very sweet. I have gotten plenty of hugs this week... which I really needed. To top it all off Guy flew to Phoenix yesterday for his oral board review. He seems to be feeling better. I am really tired of being tired, but I would much rather get the more severe case than Abby. Anyway reason for posting is they do have a sort of vaccine for the virus. You should really ask your pediatrition about it.

CONGRATS TO GUY!!!

Guy was named the new flight commander for the surgical part of the med group at Andrews Air Force Base. I am so excited and proud of him!! He is such a good doctor and I know he will be a great leader.

Abby is doing better!! Thanks to MK and Jennifer for the suggestions! She has been eating better and sleeping for longer periods at night. she only got up once last night.

I NEED HELP!!

I need some help!!! Abby has decided she does not want to eat anymore baby food. She will not even let me get the spoon anwhere near her face. I have only been able to get small amounts of big people food in her. She has been very picky with what she will eat. So basically for the last week she hasn't eaten any food. I am still nursing so she is getting some food. If anybody has any suggestions I would really appreciate them.
My second issue is I HAVE NOT SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT FOR TEN MONTHS!!! I am really tired and the eating thing is not helping because she is hungry. She gets up about two times a night to eat and then she will go back to sleep. This happens five out of seven nights...the other two nights she gets up about four to five times and is just really upset. She goes to bed without any problems it usually only takes 10 minutes max to get her down. If anybody has any ideas I would really appreciate them.

We went to my grandfathers house while we were in Jackson. He gave Abby a madame alexander baby doll. She thinks it is the greatest thing ever! My grandmother died in September and she gave me a madame alexander doll every christmas so the baby doll is a very special gift.

Abby loves her some Aunt Jodie!! Jodie came over a couple of weeks ago and we went out to lunch and Abby got her Christmas present. Jodie gave her a Lilly Leap frog( Which she wont put down), and a gold reindeer christmas ornament. the ornament is engraved with the date on the back and She is going to give abby one every year so by the time she is 21 she will have a set of ornaments. We love Jodie so much, and she is the best godmother!!
